Our Passions

We are foodies who love tea! Our story began one morning in the spring of 2007, when we were discussing how we would love to combine our entrepreneurial spirit with our passion for exciting and natural flavors and aromas. Our lives have always revolved around cooking with fresh ingredients and herbs and enjoying simple yet flavorful foods in the company of family and friends. We also enjoy traveling globally and by this time had already taken some amazing journeys across several continents and sampled some incredible cuisines. During our conversation, it became apparent to us that we wanted to do more than enjoy all these wonderful flavors. We wanted to share our passions with the world.

A Fusion of Passions

We cherish the early morning before our work day begins, because it is our uninterrupted time to sit together and catch up on the news or talk about our goals and aspirations no matter what else is happening in our busy lives. Fittingly, our morning ritual also happens to include drinking Chai, a flavorful Indian tea which is made by boiling black tea with milk and several spices. It should then come as no surprise to anyone that the idea for Teajo (tee - joe) came to us while discussing our goals and dreams over a pot of delicious tea. Everything came together when we discovered farm fresh teas from a family owned tea garden in early 2008. Teajo was now a fusion of our passion for tea, fresh flavors, specialty ingredients and our entrepreneurial spirit.

Our Teas, Our Values and Our Mission

Our flavored and fruit teas taste incredibly fresh and flavorful because we blend only single origin and single estate loose tea with 100% natural ingredients and flavorings and no artificial additives. We make every effort to ensure that our teas have the quickest trip from harvest to your glass by minimizing the amount of time they spend in storage or a warehouse. The result is a smoother, tastier and more refreshing experience.

Our teas meet strict global residue standards and are organically grown without the use of harmful chemicals or pesticides. In addition, we make every attempt to recycle and reuse as much of our shipping materials as possible. We also ask that our customers join us in helping our environment by reusing or recycling the packaging materials that come with our teas.

As Teajo grows, we constantly listen to our customers and strive to adapt to their changing preferences and tastes. For example, many of our flavors make great iced tea, which is important to our customers. Our goal is to educate both regular tea drinkers as well as those who are new to tea that you don't have to be a tea connoisseur to enjoy loose tea. We want everyone to understand how easy it is to prepare loose tea and requires no more time than to brew a tea bag. Plus, you get the benefit of a fresher and more flavorful tea!
